Best of luck to you...

I was part of the 2010 SFR. I opted out...due to the fact that I didn't see a future for myself long term, and frankly, getting dropped back in to field sales after the TAP dissolution was not something I could adapt to. I don't regret it. Every week I run into someone from another pharma company who has or is going through this. My thoughts are with you guys..no BS.

Advice if you want it....try to seek employment out of pharma..there's simply too much volatility. And, also, Home Office will continue to make the same mistakes as long as they keep the same folks in decision making role. I spent 8 years floating to and from the Home Office...there's folks in upper management role who I wouldn't hire to run a hot dog stand.

Someone had a thread earlier about how, once he was let go in 2010, no one from Takeda ever called/communicated in any way to check up..as a friend would do. Very sad but very true. No one ever reached out to me (from senior management) either. The reality is what you all are seeing...folks up there are always going to look out for number 1. The last folks to be cut will be the Home Office managers. The good ol boy network continues. I"m the CEO of my own company now, and I learned as much what NOT to do as a leader as I did what TO do. I guess I'm thankful for that.

Press on, be strong, have faith (not that corporate jingle garbage) and remember...success is the best revenge.

Thanks Pearl,

I have everything set for tomorrow. I have done all my print out work, file saving, warehouse organizing, making a list, etc. I do feel ready, but If it happens, I know the reality will be far more difficult than I can imagine. However, I pledge to fight it off and go get busy doing something extremely worthwhile.

I have a business plan I've been working on for quite some time with action steps on standby. I have saved much cash in anticipation of this day and my overhead is very low. So tomorrow may be a new beginning for me?

Not sure whether to be excited or scared, guess I'll entertain them both! Cheers

BE EXCITED!! When something is taken away from us, it only opens our arms to receive something better!!

Interesting you mention the lack of communication. I could not agree more with you. As a matter of fact people in general "bailed". I simply remind myself that people have different professional goals and it is no different than working anywhere else unfortunately.

I wish people the best though. Many companies have already prepared their budgets for 2012 and the road to employment is going to be challenging. If lyou can move on to a different industry then do it. But if you know a hiring manager, good luck to you. Money and company cars solve a lot of issues.

Totally agree that success is the best revenge! I sell Nexium and am enjoying getting the weeklies and seeing Nexium go up,and Dexi go down.As Takeda management would say"nothing personal, just business!!!!Go forward and make things happen! There is a better life after Takeda!!
