Best hires are older hires......

These older reps are the low teach and low maintenance hires. Quick results and more effective in the field.

For a DM no experience kids coming on board is a nightmare! Give me older reps any day!

I want big money to get young neophytes up and running....it will take big time and aggravation.

DM here. Wrong, older hires are almost always a huge mistake. They usually are quite set in their ways, constantly complain that they now can only get a fraction of their once vastly over paid salaries (just look at all the posts from them complaining relentlessly on here) and are quite often a cancer to the district (again, look at their posts on here). No way I would ever hire an older rep you are just asking for problems and non-stop complaining from them.

DM adding another view. I dont have time to babysit and teach people to walk!
I want results, and fast. Complaints from older are not an issue, they are minor to non existent. I vote touch of grey!

Huh? Look at the posts? how do you know ages? Seems to me many (but, not all) from the younger generation feel they've got a shiny new degree and with one snap of their fingers they should be President and CEO making highest tier salaries. The reps who have been reps for years have invested years slowly building careers and perfecting knowledge and skills. With that, they've earned salary increases. Get real.

It depends on the person, of course. The older reps are going to be more productive because experience pays.

the younger reps are easier to control, but they don't have game until year 5.

Hey, poster #4 -
Is that why older reps have a class action lawsuit against the company for age discrimination in hiring by DM's like you??

Older reps rule.

I work in HR at PSS. There is no age discrimination lawsuit. Want me to prove it? OK, post the case number with city and state? LOL Yeah, that right, you can't because you are a liar. Every lawsuit has a case number and if you had a half a brain you would know that. You are likely just another fired or not ever hired for quite obvious reasons. Sucks to be you. Old and a liar and unemployable. You fit the profile of a Walmart greeter.

So... Do you have a bachelors of science in business or any field pertinent to your position ?!?because all of the HR employee profiles I've seen on Linked In for Publicis are showing lots of associate degrees. As a matter of fact, I have not seen anything above a 2 year degree for any of our home office HR peeps.

You troll PSS HR LinkedIn profiles? Boy what a rich and full life you lead! LOL Actually everyone here in this office outside of HR generalists have at least a bachelors so you are making things up again or not very smart, or some of both. Yes I have a masters degree and several years experience. Thanks for asking. Still waiting for that case number of the age discrimination lawsuit..... Yeah, I thought so, just another internet liar and loser.

You're a major dork first of all and a liar to boot. Thats very sweet of you to troll and pretend to be HR and try and save face on their behlf, but the head generalist in HR does not have a four year degree. Don't make me start naming names.:)

Oh and by the way, I'm not the "age discrimination guy". Im not in that age category as of yet, but if there isn't a case filed with a major law firm, then I'm very surprised. Just because you guys are getting away with all sorts of bulls*it doesn't mean you are above board and professional. Just look at your reputation. I mean seriously look at yourselves. Its sad that you're so immature and as such also living in deniAl.

Name all the names you want dummy. If you had one iota bit of knowledge about HR you would understand that HR generalist are basically admins and clerks so yes, they do not need a 4 year degree. That includes the head HR generalist. You're obviously not too bright and really never have any idea what you are talking about so that makes you a perfect fit for a sample jockey, call faker and office cow feeder. Enjoy your "career". LOL

No one in HR would use the words "you are a liar", "half a brain", "Sucks to be you." or "Walmart greeter." Grow up! You are very unprofessional!!!!

Have you heard the words "Age Discrimination", better not be so opinionated. This could get you in trouble. Don't assume all older reps are the same. They can be an asset to your District. You obviously have no idea of their value if you know how to manage them correctly. It might be of value to you to listen to them.

HA, so funny....only a wet behind the ears DM would say this. Threatened, feeling insecure by those who know how to do the job without much fuss or maintenance.

You have a need to be needed hang up and will seek the young, inexperienced to feel big in the shoes...Newsflash...those young ones are high risk for quick departures, dont tell me attitude and playin' hooky! Oh yea, lots of spoon feeding and time from you needed too!

Good luck....spanky.

The above rambling post sounds like a rant from an old fuck with Alzheimers. Another good reason not to hire you old loony turds.
