Hi, I'm an experienced rep (8 years experience and still young) looking to get in BioTech sales. I live in the SF Bay Area, home to a ton of biotech companies.

Which biotech companies are the BEST to work for as far as these qualities:

1. Salary and Benefits
2. Company Culture
3. Good Management

Thank you in advance for your answers.

I have worked in the industry for 27 years.... I will say unequivocally that Genentech is the best... I know longer work for them, but they are top notch.. Hard to get into..

You couldn't pay me enough to work at any of those companies.

Ultragenyx is where it's at. Developmental stage but an amazing pipeline of valuable treatments. Small commercial team but will be bulding out soon.

Retrophin and Intercept are two others to consider.

Great question. I think you can start by looking at the various "Best Companies to Work For..." lists. Business Insider partnered with PayScale and came up with a list that included pharma/medical companies. I saw it through this blog. Here is the link. The website is www.pharmasalesinterview.com

I would say examine that list and then take a deep dive into their respective product lines and pipelines. One may have a deeper pipeline for a disease state that you are passionate about...for example, so many people have been impacted by cancer...that is an area many are passionate about and an area that is growing.

Its NEVER hard to get into a pharmaceuticals company.
