Seems to be the best advise for ISTA reps who want to remain employed is to keep doing what they are doing. From an outsider looking in, with a smidge (lol) of corporate merger experience....ISTA has taken a no-name, no-drug company and in less than 10 years is kicking the As' asses. On the other hand, most of the doctors, and I'm speaking those that perform sx, not OD's, that *even* remember their B & L's reps name, aren't impressed by them. It's great that the B & L product line sells itself, because the opinion of the people who buy your product is that the sales force is mediocre, and that's being overly generous. Don't know why B & L bought ISTA for $500M with two products? Seems like their sales team may be stronger than yours, considering their current market share with their *measley* two products. Seems like the better statement may be: "The best advice for a B & L rep who wants to remain employed....." mediocrity doesn't sell, ISTA does.
