benciar vs. diovan

While Benicar can make certain claims, just remember: "Something may be true, but not accurate." Example: serum half life-while it is true theirs is longer, it is not an accurate statement on 24 hour efficacy, since ARBs do not depend on half life to determine activity on the AT1 receptors. In addition, who gives a f--k?

for the most part diovan is the better drug. more indications. giles reprint shows better BP drops. better coverage for the most part. the only thing benicar can talk about is that they cost less on a cash based comparison.

Giles reprint shows better BP drops. woohoo. 1 point lower! Is that really statistically significant? 1 point lower isn't going to save another patient's life. Good thing you have Tekturna that you can promote off label for proteinuria reductions.

Yo, Benicar rep: you've never done this?? All ARBs are clinically the same when it comes to BP drops, with some studies showing slight differences. No big deal. Diovan is the best overall package when you look at data and indications. Yes you may have a longer 1/2 life, but if you were to look at all ARB 1/2 life info, some are BID and some are QD. What does 1/2 life tell you? Nothing, and you know it.

What is a better product diovan or benicar?

i have never heard of benciar, and for it to be compared to diovan says a lot about...Diovan!
i have been taking cozaar for years but will switch to generic diovan soon because it is an ARB; lower cost; cardiologist says drug is pretty good; and heck, what the hell is benciar? id thst from india or china?

I no nothing about diovan. I have recently started taking Benicar and so far it has not completely controlled my BP, but has reduced it to around 145/75. This is probably acceptable for my age, 73. The doctor provided me with samples to start with and I have not yet bought nay. What is the cost? I have insurance but don't know what the co-pay will be.

Change your diaper, grandpa. Forget about the copay.

don't worry. you will have a couple good generics to choose from soon and not just one. save the $ and try them out. if they don't work go to Benicar and pay a lot more.
