Being consensed

Can someone explain what this term "consensed" means? Can you be "un-consensed"? No point in asking for serious replies only...so I will pre-empt the onslaught with this....the first person with a smartass answer is a bitch.

Ben·Dover

Consensus = Plausible Deniability. As in: "Your face-to-face interim review with your supervisor gives you all S+ or higher. BUT, after the CONSENSUS review with all the other concentric rings of managers, you are now S- and U, and are eligible for REALLOCATION." Still 3400 to go of the original 5500...until the next 10,000 to go...

But, But, BUT Derica said it was 75% complete in the Mass Layoff Dept.... what is going on?

Absolutely NO VEPs coming. FTEs to be managed out via the PM process, thus avoiding severance payouts. PM's goal to get headcount below 20,000 global over the next 2 years. If you are involved in NEURO, from any component, best to start looking now for alternate employment outside LLY. Business units not animal health or onco. will be sold off whole. Look for Animal Onco with their new mascot, John the $£oth.

Analysts are goading Amgen to cut R&D (in a bait to lure takeover). You guessed...Carl icahn group is interested in buying their shares.

Excluding charges, the company said it earned $1.34 per share, topping the $1.29 per share expected by analysts polled by FactSet.

Revenue rose 3 percent to $3.71 billion from $3.59 billion, also beating analysts' $3.68 billion forecast.

Amgen Inc. may introduce its first dividend next month, rewarding investors whose stock in the world’s largest biotechnology company has fallen 33 percent since 2006, even as its cash hoard grew to $17.4 billion.

Also, Amgen announced first in their 32 years of operation, 30 cent dividend (~2% yield).

Having sex with boss, getting bonus (bones), having job, family security...hack yes. Do whatever to keep your job...market is very bad out there.

Bit having said so, keep a daily log or some recorded keepsack so that they may not fire you ALONE. You take the boss along in his/her job. Be revengeful in planning.

I would suggest audio and visual recordings of all advances. What you do with the video is up to you. YouTube might be a little extreme.

I have recordings of all of my PM meetings, for example.

What is being consensed? It is a process that determines that if you are a minority female you have tremendous value and unlimited potential and if you are a white male you are a dime a dozen.

Now that all the smartasses have answered, can someone please help me out? Thanks.

If you have to ask, you're already being MANAGED OUT...be sure to ask your supervisor about being MANAGED OUT.

It means you get a rave review in your 1:1 PM then, on the last day you get ranked down from E or S+ because the management "consensus" was that your accomplishments were only average to below average compared to others in your peer group. It all comes down to how willing your management is to fight over your rating and that is directly tied to their level of ambition and place in the hierarchy. If you boss is already at the top of their career ladder, they will just roll over to get the meeting over with and you get screwed. If your boss is a climber, they will try to make it sound like you discovered the cure for cancer so they can take credit for "developing" you. After that, the HR mandated "diversity" leveling occurs and you get your "holiday surprise" just before the end of year.

If they know they have to cut another 20% before October, then they pick out the ones they want to position for failure and use the "consensus" to cover their tracks.

A+ for honesty and accuracy.

Add that to the "Dictionary of Lillyisms" : Consensed = Group Consensual Mind Fuck
