Heard there were bed bugs at the L.A. IBU meeting. Any first hand sightings?

There have been recent media stories about the apparent "bed bug" problem. It appears to be nationwide. The hotels are paying close attention to remediation.
No sightings. It was still dark when I got up, got dressed, and went back to my room.
