Be Ready to be Brainwashed

As a current employee of Shire I will warn all future employees of Supernus that you will be brainwashed to do exactly what they tell you to and you will be micromanaged every day of your life there....yuo may make a few dollars doing it but who wants that life...

1) Be ready to memorize a 10 page script in training for 2 weeks that they say will help you out in the field

2) They currently do not let any of your managers speak to us even though they did not sign the same 1 year non-compete as the corporate office did when they left Shire. They know that your managers do not recruit pharma but they just want control over your managers to do everything they want them to. I tell you this because this will be the same way you will be managed as well. They will manage who you talk to on company cell phones, where you drive in your cars wil be tracked, who you email personally, etc.

3) They only will have 4-5 reps to manage for the first 6 months to a year so be ready to do 2 day ride-alongs with your managers every 2 weeks. That will get old fast so be ready.

4) The 2 products you will be selling are not well covered in a lot of states since I have worked in corporate accounts before know that this will make or break your $ and whether you will keep a job long or not. These are ME2 products where only duration is the current benefit. Ask your managers how it was selling Adderall XR after selling Adderall and trying to convert patients from Adderall to XR. It will not go that well.

5) There are some good people with this company but every one of their managers will not wipe their own asses before talking to JH or NP who are the Zone Directors. A lot of these managers have asked if it is okay to talk to us over here who are their friends but there is no way for their phones to be tracked. They are brainwashed into thinking that they signed the same freakin document...what a bunch of doushed bags...Their managers are not leaders and will never be with Supernus leadership...

Can someone tell me how training might be?

See #1 above. That is true. I can also tell you I think the job will be difficult but doable. There are some good people there. If you want the job go for it. I work at Shire now and can honestly tell you there's people here who would work for Supernus if the opportunity presented itself. If it doesn't work out at least you got pharma experience that you were looking for. Update the resume and move on with more experience. I do believe uou will be happy though unless you work for one of the handful of asshole RDs who will make your life miserable. But that is a risk and reality at any company. Good luck.
