Be Careful...Sucampo is a "Bush" league company

From a HDQ insider about to retire,
Word to the wise. Ask lot's of questions in your interviews about reporting structure, career path, and merit increase pay schedule. Also ask about the history of executive management changes and then have them state the company's short term, mid-range, and long term business plans. Do not be surprised if their answers lack clarity, or your question is ignored by changing the subject with a filibuster canned response.

Unfortunately, Sucampo has poor (Junior-High) leadership at the very highest level. If you accept an offer, just know this is not the right company for advancement. Sucampo has no intention of providing and leading folks to successful "career" opportunities. Think short term only. Best of luck.

I just left from there and this is a very accurate description of Sucampo. Dr. Ueno, esp Stan & Keith are very much amateurs, as a whole they dont care about the sales people one bit. The turnover in the HR dept, research, other areas of upper management reflect a lot of discomfort and outright concern with the way the people generating revenue are mistreated, dont plan to stay here long, if you need a small check with poor health benefits for a short period of time until you get a better job then it is a strategy, but only as a temp job

Its not worse than the company I came from.

everyone, including the new people if we win, will notice how keith promotes the same people that he hand picks just because they have been in the greek college frat or sorority system regardless if they are competent or not at their present job, all are incompetent at best but mysteriously get huge sales numbers and go on president's club trip after keith manipulates the numbers to get his lackeys to go on these trips, he then comes up with special assignments so he then can use these same assignments to further promote these idiots and justify pay raises, he's real unprofessional and the reason most people have left
