Now that 6 month retention bonuses have been paid out, watch more Baxalta employees flee. The Baxalta exodus continues...

Ask the 500 people who worked at Shire in Chesterbrook, PA. They closed the Chesterbrook office. Some were offered the opportunity to stay with Shire and relo to Lexington, MA. Others were not. Many of those offered opportunities to relo declined the offer. Smart decision.

If they do offer a you relo ------> proceed with caution. With this new guy running the show do you really want to get stuck in MA after a layoff or acquisition?

You talking about Paul? Even if we end up moving, this is normal and in order to reduce duplication of resources and costs they would be idiots if they had two operations, two administrative sets, etc. Think about it. I'd rather they move our operations to MA then try and deliver the financial plan while still carrying heavy costs. It's not Shire, it's business. If you can't see that than you need to go back to school and pay attention in cost accounting.

Get with the program Bannockburn. Our CEO 'OneShire' Flemming calls the shots not Paul.

Shire has just completed a 739 employee 44% "reduction in force" after acquiring Baxlata in Los Angeles. Going from 1,650 employees to just over 900. Piece of cake - why didn't the L.A. plant think of that before it was acquired? Maybe because the LA site requires those staff members to pump out products. Good luck remaining employees, I feel fortunate to have been "reduced" because I received severance and don't have to work 2 jobs like the remaining staff.

Gutted like a fish.
