Base salary 10 year Sales Rep

$120K at 13 years. Many VP Clubs. Forced out by new manager. Nothing unusual. Don't miss it a bit.

I wish the damn worthless stock options would pop, though that is a virtual impossibility from the sinking ship that you're riding down.

Not sure it is a good idea to start comparing. It can get you depressed. I am making less than you guys as a retiree off income streams from pension. But my sanity is much more intact. That in itself is priceless.

4 President's Club Wins in 10 years, 4 Companies, top 10% 6 out of 10 years and top 40% or better the other years. $117K at another specialty pharma co but making $70K bonus. I work both smart and hard and get paid for being my company's cash cow - I bring in the revenue and they pay me as they should.

Keep at it OP - there is money to be made if you do your research on the company/division you are thinking about working for and put the effort in once you get it.

One thing is sure......BIG variations in salary at Merck.

Coworkers can be making 30-40K difference....wow. No wonder cuts are coming. If you have been here years and you are making way more than the newer employees...

One other thing for sure...you can make WAY MORE money someplace else....

59 year old. Almost 30 years with the company, and I made $249k last year, not counting stock option / grants. Assuming my wife survives me and lives to at least the same age as her father, her mother and her grandmother, the wonderful company pension will pay out at least $2 million dollars. Oh, and the 401-k went into 7 digits way back in the early '90's and has stayed there ever since, despite the last couple of market crashes. Haven't hit 8 digits, but I am not going to whine about that.
Yep, I am your MANAGER! Life is good, and YOU should step up and take on the additional responsibility and finally get fairly paid for the work you do.
For those of you that are going to gripe about worthless managers, we did contribute over $35,000 to local metro charities and non-profits last year.
Good luck to you all. I hope you have as wonderful career as I have been fortunate enough to have.
