Bail while you can

To all the people left that aren't directors or above, get out while the getting's good. To all the directors and above, there is a special place in hell for you. The decisions, or lack of decisions that you pricks were part of have cost everyone from the stock holders down to the last 500 who where laid off dearly. Some of the decisions on who was retained were not based on sound business, but on personal relationships. Retaining dependents to personal relationships (it's cheaper for the company pay for those expensive HIV treatments than your girlfriends family), and "yes" men who are only there to prop up already inflated egos.

From everything I've seen from the big C's, it's a setup to sell the business. Look at the recent hires for executive consul and HR. And what's really stupid, they have consultants coming in to give them guidance in moving the business forward. WTF? Talk about rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic!

is there any chance you can go into a little more detail? im trying to get details for the greater good. thank you, in advance.

Unless the person is having unsafe sex with other people who know nothing of the person's HIV status, how is 'outing' someone with HIV 'for the greater good'?

if someone in management is making a choice to make expenses less for the company but is doing so illegallly or in a very unsavory manner it ought to be exposed. if its an illegal way of getting around something then it needs to be exposed to law enforcement. all illegal acts management has done there have to be exposed and over time will be exposed. the crimes here are so evident.

OK. Thanks for the clarification. I see the angle you're looking at this from...and I agree

actually looking at it again it seems like someone may be making the company pay for something the company shouldnt be on the hook for. again, something that needs to be exposed.

Said person is brought on as a "temp" contractor. No experience. Then is brought on as a FTE after the interview process vetted this person as a no hire.
Person is retained after the lay offs, seemingly so this person would not have to be a financial burdon on the hiring manager. This person has zero experience for the job and was retained over many others with years of tenure and experience.

I mention this as a bellweather to the state of affairs. If they really want to keep the company on track, this is the complete opposite way of doing so. Nobody at all questioned it what so ever. The process was... well there was as usual no process.

The company is truely broken and will take a complete top to bottom house cleaning to cure it's ills.

Not exactly. The hire is not the girfriend, but a person that either is a relative or close personal friend. It's not clear the exact relationship, however they are pretty much taking care of this person since the persons immediate family has disowned them.

Is there a "compliance" officer anymore? My experience tells me that HR couldn't give a shit. Ask any RIF'd employee if they have received an exit interview? I'm guessing the answer is no. They really don't care to hear what is really going on. They are trying to get the company sold and get the fuck out.

Look at the stock. Somebody will step in a buy it all up soon.

Unfortunatly, not at this time for several reasons that I can't go into right now. Let's just say that if the right people asked me the right questions from within the company I would be compelled to say what I know. But for right now, I offer this as an example of just one of many things that is wrong with not only Dendreon, but probably many if not most of corporate America right now.

Yes, its bad. Hiring managers with no experience is a standard practice at Dendreon. What is worse is that these managers oversee people who have lots of experience. It doesn't create a lot of confidence when they constantly change their minds and have fire drills. A bunch of fools who are the reason why many good people have already left of company.

I thought the sales people dont have their own minds and look to opinions on this bulletin board for life decisions like how to support their families. Rumor has it that this board is the reason for the mass exodus. I can't confirm but it makes sense that when making family decisions if a salesperson stumbles upon a post that says the latest inside purchase by an insider does not necessarily mean the future is bright the salesperson may then decide it's time to leave. Stock options being worthless as toilet paper isn't a legitimate reason to pack it in but seeing posts here about desks posibly being for sale is a good reason. Being bamboozeld to move to Seattle with falsely inflated stock prices that are now $4 isn't a legitimate reason to pack it in but posts here questioning why ex-ceo is still on the BOD surely is a reason to pack it in.

It's a gross generalization to assume that sales people don't have their own minds. Gathering information to make the best choice possible doesn't mean sales people are looking in only one area for information. This board is a part of information gathering, there are many other resources out there.

I believe the post was a joke. If you read the whole post it becomes apparent
