This company is so screwed up they can not even lay off employees properly. For those recently severed employees, even their Severance Packages were delayed. Looks like the Back Order epidemic has spread from manufacturing to HR.

Think twice before joining the new "One Covidien"

Yes the products for the most part are solid, but they are moving towards a pharma model of promotion.

If you don't believe me, ask a Covidien rep who just had a big chunk of their salary taken away and put into their variable comp bucket. Putting a bigger carrot on a longer stick is no way to motivate an already de-motivated sales force. Wonder how many AVPs took the same sort of cuts?

Now the question is do you want to work 60+ hours for Pharma pay? I'd take being a glorified pharma catere over working for the new Covidien any day and make even more money. Get out while you can. The grass is greener on the other side of the blue table cloth.
