Is there any truth to the rumor that B+L was offered between 8 and 9 billion dollars for the sale of the company and that WP did not take the offer? WP wanted 10 billion?

Seems like if B+L was offered between 8 and 9 billion that they would have taken the deal.

That is what the news reports say. Although everything that is done at this company seems like a ruse. If the rumor originated from B+L management I would wonder iif it was true.
 


















Sounds like it was meant to be sarcastic. B+L insiders can say anything they like and have it printed in a newspaper. Also, it has been a long time for Warburg to hold B+L. If they we're very motivated they could sell it even at a loss. They seem constipated. Are the offers extremely low, could be? Bottom line is that they still own it after all this time. Seems like something has gone wrong and they are left holding an asset that they certainly didn't expect to hold this long.
