AWD?

Hey there!

This may not go well, but I'm a long time pharma rep (I know, I know) tyring to move into device sales and there's a position with "AWD" division, I suppose that refers to division name, not sure. It is to sell Pico and Oasis...sound like decent products. I've reached out to some local SnN reps via linkedin to get more intel, but not heard back from them yet. So, a couple of things if anyone can help me out please:

Would I even be considered as 18 year pharma rep with good documented rankings?
Is this a good gig?
Are the territories huge?

The fact you ended this with preash only solidifies the fact you will never make the jump into med device. On another note, stay away from this division. Shit division w/in a shit company, led by a shitty management team.

Anybody else willing to chime in? Sounds like the products are good, which is a huge plus. I can handle shitty management to some degree.....it's everywhere. I would just like a challenging and unique opportunity outside of mainstream pharma. I do sell a complicated buy and bill product in a specialized disease area so it's not like I'm out pushing cough syrup, PPI's or anti hypertensives.

I'm not angry at all. Im just being brutally honest. The level of incompetence of the management team is amazing. When you get an opportunity, research the FDA and Renasys. The management team continually lied to the reps regarding why Renasys was pulled from market. These lies led to the mass firing of 31 reps/managers in early December.

I do believe Pico is a great product but the wrong people are selling it. It's also not enough to build a sustainable territory. The pharma approach does not work with this device and the numbers are showing it. Upper management is more worried about reps utilizing MyConnect than they are with selling the product the correct way. I would advise you to proceed with caution if you choose to pursue this any further.

same thing is happening in all divisions. Upper Management is so distracted with how many calls are logged, they're not focusing on the problem at hand, which is, in most cases , themselves.

My Pico sales are off the charts. Who cares about Renasys. My Pico sales will exceed 700k which is better than my Renasys sales.

I've been waiting a long time for my kids to reach an independent age where I can put in the hours demanded with device sales. I may have waited too long, or perhaps I will have to break in via a less attractive opportunity and prove myself. I put my name in the hat. Thanks for a the insight.

Incredible division with huge growth opportunity. Future of wound care division and untapped potential. Solid leadership in place and money is there to be made. Call points vary to include plastics and ortho surgeons. True device position. Company culture is tremendous.
 
























Would really suggest you not solicit cafe pharma board for any sort of valuable insights into a company or career change. As with all of these company boards there is a bad combination of a few malcontents, who most likely got fired or are to chicken to leave the company if they really are that unhappy, and competition posers who have nothing better to do. PICO is a great product, which is now getting a lot of investment and focus, sales are up significantly +100% YOY and there is a lot of opportunity if you are motivated.

Pico sales are trending very well. Oasis is the concern... Saturated/ mature market with reps being hamstrung in certain accounts. Great RCTs on oasis just need to let reps sell and not get bogged down with silly sh1t.
