Avastin sales

I got contacted about a job selling Avastin.. any comments welcomed. given the negative publicity recently how is it selling. any comments suggestions welcome thanks

It is not as much the product as the company that sells it. Avastin is not the miracle drug once thought but Roche still expects Avastin sales to be unrealistically high.

Management at Genentech, from the DM to the CEO, are horrible now with Roche in command. The dollar is all that matters. The days for caring for patients and employees is OVER!

thanks, appreciate the heads up. any other comments welcomed. I heard it was a very negative time in the field for Avastin reps but thats from a competitor

The issue is who you work for. There is only one DM that is worth working for and he does not have any positions right now. Everyone over here is looking at other companies. It's not the product, it is the managers, they are a little over bearing and are doing anything they can to make themselves look important I guess to save their position. Sorry it doesn't sound so good but the product is great.

Here's the truth; AVASTIN IS BARELY BETTER THAN PLACEBO! 50,000+ for 3 months of benefit? WOW! Our great supper BIOTECH reps selling Avastin should have no problem meeting their quotas though. SINCE THEY ARE "SUPERIOR" and the "BEST IN THE INDUSTRY"!

I was being sarcastic! Must be fun selling a high cost placebo. On second thought, all of the rest of us have drugs that actually work, so selling a 50k/year placebo must make you superior. I was shocked to see that it only extended life for three months, and virtually is useless in breast cancer. SHAME ON YOU!

I know that Avastin costs tens of thousands of dollars, for a few months of benefit. I know that the FDA either is in the process of, or has already removed the breast cancer indication because Avastin simply doesn't work for it. Do I know a lot about the disease of Oncology? No? Do I know a multi billion dollar scam when I see one? Yes! Who couldn't sell a product to a doctor who will use it, whether it works or not? Clearly, no sales people are even needed for this "placebo", oops, I meant drug.
