I have to fugure this out - so I need some help. Clearly every topic that is discussed reagarding Forest is negative. Now - I have to believe that some of the negative responses are from not just 1 or 2 disgruntled reps, but a good portion of the company.

I know the resistance posts to the negativity is probably someone in a management or power position, which I'm sure they feel they need to defend what they believe ( whether or not they actually truly feel this company is terrific I can't figure out). How many of you really feel this company has really lost it's luster? I have to say, in speaking with my team and other friends throughout the nation, that this have become a terrifying and dark place to work at over the past few years.

I'm not going to single out anything or anyone specific reason - I think we can all come up with something - or at least read the last 500 topics on CF.

But by simple reply only, besides myself and many others, how many of us are really just hanging on for dear life and would do anything for a better, healthier environment to work in. Management and corporate really need to hear from all of us that we just don't care anymore for the BS - something needs to change.

Again ( and I know it's difficult ) please post and let the company know you feel uselees and demotivated and that your attitude had dropped to point of no return.

It's a sad way to do have to do it online on a blogging site - but how else are we to be heard?

Any responses or am I way off?

Yes, same here! This place has lost everything that I loved in the first 3-4 years. Im miserable and trying to get out out after 10 years, but it's Forest. Forest is a joke the pharmaceutical and medical world. I have been very loyal and hard working but I'm at my wits end. The management is nothing but bulleys and backstabbers. I have never seen so much favoritism and straight up bullshit ever. I'm in Florida and it just keeps getting worse. Great reps are gone simply because of a clash of personalities. Management need training down here. There are only two good managers down here. They want you to be successful and work their asses off to help you. As for the others, they are constantly looking for ways to fire people or disrupt teams. Very unprofessional and it amazes me that they wouldn't put forth that energy and drive into actually helping us achieve our goals. Forest is such a dissapointment.

very thoughtful- time for me to soak my face in hot peanut oil

Couldn't agree more. I'm personally just going through the motions at this point until I find anything else to do (which isn't easy in this market). I loved this job till about 2 years ago, ever since then I have been miserable. I used to have a manager that motivated me and made me want to work hard and do well. Now I work for a horrible manager (and RD) that never thinks what I do is good enough, no matter what. Talk about demoralizing.

If you want to be happy here, it has to come from within. If you are reading these posts and think it doesn't apply to you, please accept it will one day. I have been here a LONG time and have been at and seen dozens of representatives be recognized and applauded for being at the top and for their attitude and abilities. This recognition is temporary. The time will come when you are at the bottom. Will you be able to handle not only not being recognized but being the bottom of the barrel?

I have an interview with the third interview with the regional manager in about two weeks. What kind of questions should I expect from him/her? How long after that interview until an offer is made? The DM told me it is between me and another candidate.

Please help

If you can win President's club every year for 3 years at Forest, you may have 4 year career. After the forth year, you will making too much money for the company to keep you as a territory rep - you are not an asset, but now considered a liability as your base is too high, and you cannot( or should I say will not) be motivated anymore by 25 year old DM's.

Now your expense reports are monitored to a T. Now your call activity is your DM, RD, and ABD's Monday morning conference call - - - EVERY MONDAY MORNING UNTIL THEY FIND SOMETHING --AND THEY WILL.

Now your gas tracking usage is monitored. You will be hammered at every POA for perfection, and your field rides will be a 3 at best ---because even a 3 time PC winner can benefit on a better "closing statement".

You will struggle to understand why this is happening to YOU - the best rep in town.

It then gets worse - field rides every two weeks. Updates daily on progress during calls and somehow how you have been " unapproachable to your fellow teammates lately" ( according to who? Probably your bro throwin ya under the bus)

Now you will build your resume and just do the basics at Forest to keep your ass from not getting fired.

Next you will find a great job in "better pharma" if that is even considered a great job still - or you will land a tight medical device job.

Next you will not tell any of your teammates this has happened and go on with your business with your docs, maybe telling an opening statement to a Decile 10 advocate customer like this- Hey doc... Forest really isn't what you and I initially cracked it up to be. You will gain agreement from this MD. You will probe the MD on what a better avenue you should have taken. The MD will tell you -get the %$@& out of pharma and into medical device sales. You will agree that this is the avenue you are going to take. You close your doc on moving onto better pastures and gain solid agreement. And - oh by the way Doc - I really don't mind if you use Cymbalta, it was, has been, and will always be a better antidpressant then Lexapro. BYE. And thank you doc for coaching me through this.

Now on your morning conference call when you get called to role play Namenda for the 600th time - you finally announce your resignation in front of your whole team and DM - and tell them why you did it - in full detail.

This is of course if you are a 3 time PC winner. Anything less than that and your out in 2 years max...so you won't get this far.

I know. Cause I did it. And it rocked.

Thank you Forest for helping me reach my full potential in a REAL, TOUGH, DOG eat DOG sales industry that doesn't micromanage and allow the SALESMAN to create, drive, and use the human tools we were given to succeed.

That salary you thought was too high to keep me around...I would only like to see the look on your little faces if I faxed you my W-2 last year.

Again - thank you so much for what you have done - not to me...BUT FOR ME!!!!

I will always be indebted to you.

It would be great if management listened to the field sales reps but they don't know how. Wouldn't you think that 40% turnover every 18 months just might send a message?

Document sales results and performance, know your business, do you know how to leverage, goal setting/achieving, teamwork, overcoming objections, conflict, response to feedback, challenges, integrity, creating dialogue, supporting corporate initiative, hard work

Attitude was a word used 10 years ago when we could share our feelings and ideas to generate business. Present day....attitude is not following the POA or not attaining your KPI. I know I get pumped about KPI - less making a difference in front of my customers.

BOO ON YOU FOREST!!!!
