ATLANTA IV's--What are they looking for??

I have read several posts from people who interviewed with Lilly in Atlanta & Dallas. Surprisingly, many experienced candidates did not get the FDE job. What is Lilly looking for in an employee??? So many well qualified people are going overlooked!

alot of people have been complaining about how qualified they are and still getting rejected. From my own personal interview and from those that I spoke with while there, Lilly DM's seem to have incredibly huge egos and its not really how qualified you are for the position but rather if the DM likes you and doesn't feel threatened by your presence within the company that determines if you get the job or not.

You are very perceptive in your assessment. Try flattery next time.

"Qualified?" Qualified to do what, exactly? Why would a pharma company want a candidate that has spent any time with another company, and no doubt knows what an absolute farce this whole business model is currently? Lilly, and most other pharma companies, want people who have never done this shit before. Those are the people that will labor away under some false illusion that they are needed, that they contribute, and will also conveniently be motivated by fear of losing their jobs because they do not know any better.

The only reason that Lilly, or any other company, hires reps is that front line reps allow for the continued illusion of the whole business model. If we were to collectively accept reality and embrace what the customer base embraced years ago, that the rep position is DOA; then all those over-paid VP and NSM level toads will be forced into the same conclusion about their cush jobs.

Upper mgmt only hires to perpetuate the lie further and allow themselves to suck off the shareholder tit for a few more years. Why in the hell would they want to hire people that know the scam?

Very well said!

HTC - HongTa Tobacco Company -- no where on the radar - has become 2nd largest company selling cigarettes and tobacco products. Company on their website mentions that they do not intend to take fight with competitors. That is not their character. So, they pervaded through small markets and smaller countries, selling cigarettes at almost 80% lower price than Number 1,2,3 and 4. Over period, it turned out that 3 & 4 became insolvent due to lawsuits. The #1 can sell in China, but HTC still owns 85-90% of Chinese market, even when Marlboro increased sales from 0 to 30%, it still represents under 5% of the chinese market.(Cost factor)

HTC does not want to be in Western world. Their aim is low..way low...20cigarettes from 1 Yuan in Africa and other Asian countries. The Red Box is #1 where it matters.

Lesson learned: Keep your price low so that money is not the issue. Do not increase price and NEVER compromise on quality since it can only be improved from yesterday. Over 3billion in the world smoke The Rex Box/Carton.

With this type of market making, *anything* we do, Chinese can out compete with this simple strategy. No Chinese manager is paid so much that atleast 500 employees can be paid with a single person's salary.
