AT WHAT POINT DOES ONE SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH??

Just how ridiculous do things have to get for the sales force at Merck before people either start to leave, or just plain go bonkers??

I realize that to do pharma sales in the first place, one must suppress any conscience or ethics just to get through each miserable day.

It seems like managment is intentionally trying to make the job as miserable as they can so that people start to leave, and the herds get thinned, without having to make payouts of severance, etc...

Why does a company want the people who are on the frontlines with customers to be so badly treated??

It makes no sense...Is there something I am missing here?

No, you are correct. This is what happens when you hire two faced, back stabbing yes people into top exec positions. Eventually, they run an organization into the ground and point the finger at someone, or in this case, the salesforce.

The answer to the Title question is simple: Whenever it is. The answer is different for each of us.

I always said that when it became a job I didn't want, I'd leave it, which is exactly what I did. I still have a host of options, so I watch it closely. That's the extent of my interest in your mess of a company.

Well said and so true. For me it was 14 years ago when enough was enough.
