Are you B+L or Valeant?

I recently met a number of B+L/Valeant employees. Some, especially the top management have Valeant as their company. Checking their linkedin accounts they say they work for Valeant. The next level employees say they work for B+L. Checking their linkedin accounts they show B+L as their company.

So if you are in top management (VP and above) at B+L you are a Valeant employee. If you are Director level or below you are a B+L employee.

Would you invest in this company? They can not even get their company right on their linkedin accounts.

This is so third grade. Who the hell cares?

OMG - linkedin is ambiguous !! Call the SEC, shut down the markets !! The end is near !!

Interesting point. Is B+L a company or a brand name? My guess is that if all of upper management changed their affiliation to Valeant then Valeant is now the company and B+L is now just a brand name.

Maybe they hired a corporate psychologist. Those with the Valeant label will dominate over those with the B+L label. Nice. It is an interesting dynamic.

How do you make it into the Valeant club. Does it require an initiation?

It's quite possible, most of the B&L folks have no interest in being associated with Valeant and are merely tolerating the fact that Valeant has replaced W-P in an ownership role. Remember, the B&L folks are a proud lot, many of them have been manufacturing and selling top quality products for decades - most of these are your front line managers and direct labor. Yes, everyone knows B&L was chewing up an spitting out presidents, vice-presidents, and directors for the past 10+ years, but let's be real here, the people this far up in the organization are not the true representatives of what B&L is. It's the people who have dedicated their entire lives and careers, raised families, and paid off their mortgages via the toughness required to stick it out despite the turmoil of decades of piss poor, greedy, corporate executive management that truly represent what B&L is. Let's throw this pansy-ass B+L crap out the window and get back to B&L, no matter who owns us.

Bausch & Lomb rules!!! B+L can shove it. We are now back to the future with a much better company than the WP run rename and change the English language jerks (R&D to D&R just makes us the joke of the industry).

If you work at Bausch & Lomb and do not put Bausch & Lomb as your company on your business cards or Linkedin accounts you should leave now because you are an embarrassment to this organization. If you only want to be affiliated with Valeant than leave to work at corporate headquarters in Jersey where you can party with your own kind. We do not want you around here.

This is the dumbest thread. How about who cares?! It is merely a fact that Bausch is now owned by valeant. Reading into this is obviously from people who need more to do, or you are OCD, have name separation anxiety-get a life!

Eg. What about all of those people who still have Ista as their employer? Dumb! I would be only concerned that my networking could accurately locate me; than to stupid 'who am I more loyal to name wise on website'.

Can you say f****** stupid?

I think the question here is are people choosing their affiliation or is Valeant? Are B+L folks prohibited from putting Valeant as their company? If not everyone at B+L should change their company to Valeant.

If Valeant is prohibiting people from saying that they work for Valeant then you have to ask the question why?

What does "valeant" the company we are suppose to be proud working for actually stand for?
Please do include by means of its employees, patients & customers, what it stands for in terms of each one....

Well said.... Can anyone who is "proud" to work for this company tell me what is the Valeant philosophy?!

That's simple - and straight from MP's mouth "Valeant is all about shareholder value". Actually, it's about "stock price" since that's what MP's bonus is tied to. Value is irrelevant, so an empty shell (aka bubble) is just fine, and that's what has happened.

So, look on LinkedIn for those retained during any Valeant acquisition and you'll see few folks listing Valeant on their profiles. Valeant is NOT a resume builder for real pharma.

Too true-- Valeant is not a company that is rated in the Pharma industry! They are not interested in developing/ training or improving the individual!! It's all about the $$$$$ & shareholders.....
