Are we interviewing for our jobs again with Pfizer

So we are kicking ass, we meet all our goals for reach and frequency, but they are bothering us with these bull shit role play conference calls 9 months into the contract? Are we all interviewing for our jobs again or is this just some kiss ass bullshit OnCall is doing? I keep thinking this contract is on shaky ground....

Most likely something is up. Upheaval at Pfizer means that everything, both at the big pharma headquarters and with any contracts will be examined to see what needs to go. Recent flurry of e-mails and a sense of panic from DM adds fuel to the speculation.

We got an email saying they are sending us more PVC samples. If they were planning to get rid of us, they wouldn't be sending more samples!

Samples are being dumped. Instead of getting a bonus or more hours or anything for doing such a great job we are being grilled. Pfizer is hateful to all its own employess and even worse to the contracted ones. We are the lowest paid professionals in the country. Even McDonald's workers without education and degrees are getting paid more per hour than us.

They must consider contract employees unskilled labor.

This is retarded. It works out to at least $30/hr which is not bad pay for dropping off samples. If you think it's so bad quit and get a job at McDonalds.

You do the math. With all the extra training and busy work it is much less than McDonalds. Some of us don't want to just drop off samples and would like to have a little pride in what we do and get paid for it. I will quit when I feel like it.

Oh please what extra training? Maybe you are on a different contract but on mine we had one POA for a few hours on the computer, which they paid us for. We have no conference calls, no travel for meetings, no extra work period. I've done the math and it's decent pay for the job requirements and resposibilities. I take great pride in this job and feel lucky to have it.

Have you ever been a rep before. It was a role play. 20 min conversation. I for one learned a few things listening to my team. Any pharma co. Needs to be sure we are saying the right thing. As for pay: 2000 for 80 hrs week plus 500per week bonus plus 500 travel plus 180 month Pfizer bonus plus phone= 40 per hour. No meetings no success stories no mindless bulshit. Not a bad gig. Go to work for Micky d.s and stop whining.

Were you high when you wrote this? You work 80 hours per week? You get 40 per hour for a phone? Lay off the sauce brother

I just don't understand the secrecy of knowing whether Pfizer is on the calls or not, what's that about, it's like is big brother listening in, or not. Very strange atmosphere.

I like the manager I work with and I do a good job, but this seems like strange timing right now. I know that Premarin Oral tablets are going away and I think we are going to focus entirely on cream from now on. If we still have a contract because sales don't seem to be going up. They are maintaining at best, but I guess that's better than losing market share.

I have been a rep with a lot of experience major and minor and can see how Pfizer is low balling those who have been without work for awhile.
