Goals are determined by overall market volume and current product volume/share.... If you hit it outta the park, then your growth goals are gonna be really high. Did you really think we were gonna get $50K every quarter? I don't think I would say "bait and switch", but it's definitely not what they said it would be.

Interviewing for what? they dont have an HCV Product, and are years away. You got overpaid on a very low goal, and did not complain. Now you have a real goal based on existing history, and you DO complain. Why dont you just shut up and do your job! Besides, the industry leading Genentech HCV reps will get first dibs on the new jobs, when/if they materialize.
 






Um, you do realize that half of the Vertex reps CAME from Genentech, right????????????? Now that they have even more experience including an incredibly successful launch under their belts what in the world would make you think you would be more qualified in an interviewing environment?

Um, you do realize that the other half of Vertex (marketing, upper mgmt, reps, etc) CAME from Gilead, right???????????? Management at Gilead holds a major grudge against Vertex for the way those that left Gilead arrogantly defected and they certainly don't hold Vertex in a good light in general. They already have the Hep and HIV contacts so what in the world would make you think that Gilead would even blink at a Vertex resume? If you think it will be purely based on contacts, you are clueless. Vertex history and the non-compete will say more than words can.

this guys makes a really good point. here is the deal, if you know Gilead, you know they are all about business, so in the end, they won't give a shit who they take, Vertex or not if it make them money that's all they or any company cares about. That's at the rep level. ex Gilead management at Vertex is fucked and they know it.
