I am a fairly new representative within this company and find the sales to be extremely slow due to the product. Just wondering if Hospira has layoffs or if they place reps on performance improvement plan as does other large pharma companies?

Anyway, back to your question......no need to worry about performance in the field (SELLING) but you better have those reports done.

Hospira is just trying to create some type of data base so they can show how "technologically savvy" (what a joke) and then sell the company down the road after Beagley has milked it for all he can. Guess what that will mean to all of us???? Now is the time to start looking, wouldn't you all agree. It would be better to start on Hospira time!

second - detail pharma reps that think they have hit the big time

Get out there and sell a that Symbiq with the free flow syringe issue to the pediatric population. That is just one of the many issues with the Symbiq. Why do you think Hospira did not put any more money into R&D but instead SalesFarse.Bomb. It is just another GemStar and Acclaim debacle. In a year or two we will call it the Symbiq Encore and then in a few more years the Symbiq Encore II!

If any division is going to be cut, look for devices to get the axe. They been trying to sell that dog of a division off for a while. Shitting support, and crappy products, but decent reps! I hope they all well!
 






Symbiq had 3 Class 1 recalls and have been pulled from the market. One reason is the free-flow issue mention by one poster in 2008.

Plum A+ and XLD have recalls due to alarms not working.

Not surprised if there will be more recalls, even again recalling the products that had already been reworked.

i wonder if the recalls are all from American made products or are they the result of importing inferior commodities from other countries. and was it just coincident that the FDA is in the news about becoming world wide and the letter about Ball visiting India, China and lands afar. the opening of the plant in India could cause alarm to many jobs in the U.S.
 






Looks like they are hiring back alot of the QA positions they eliminated at Rocky Mount. I guess quality is important when the FDA is on your back.

If they every go away, I'm sure it will be back to business as usualy. Find ways to pad corporate officers bank accounts.

Heard the Hospira Morgan Stanley webcast from yesterday. Mike Ball said Rocky Mount operations will be transferred to the new plant in india. May take a couple years. Also said this plant is the biggest in the world of it's kind.
Can hear it on Hospiras Investor relations website.

Mike Ball didn't say Rocky Mount operations would be transferred to India nor did he say it "may take a couple of years." He said Vizag should be online by 2014, he acknowledged that Vizag would be making many of the same products, and he said it would allow RM the opportunity to become more "effective" and "efficient."

Only the suits really know what's going on, but it's pretty stupid to believe that $1 billion of drug product manufacture is going to be transferred in 2 years (particularly to a chaotic sinkhole like India) or that Ball would come right out and say that RM's going to be decommissioned.

"effective" and "efficient" could mean "closed" and "for sale"....with what has happened to the employees in the past i would not put anything past the management of this company
