Anything good or bad to say about this place?

Definately one of the best DME companies. It is a tough business and we are always getting cuts from medicare. Apria still has strong clinical force and has not done a massive layoff of RT's like Rotech has.

Heard you treat your employees and patients better that Rotech

May be a fraction better than rotech, but NOT a good place where I was....treat employees BAD, pt care is not priority and the local management is horrible. They hire managers from within who know nothing about how to run an office nor pt medical needs.
As long as they have somebody to yell at in the managers chair, that is all that matters to
upper management. I worked there in clinical position 4 years...was glad to leave where
my patients and other employees made a difference and were appreciated.
The online programs are inefficient due to old systems...would NOT promote working in this company to anyone!! Not sales reps either!!

I love working for Apria! This is my second stint and I honestly wish I'd never left the first time. While all DME companies have the same equipment and the same delivery services, I can truly say that Apria cares about their patients. Proof of this is the continued employment of numerous RTs even though other companies are laying off RTs and getting away from "patient oriented care". Say what you want, of all the other companies, Apria is the best, hands down!

I wouldn't work for Apria ever again even if it meant being homeless. My boss was a drama queen, and he played favorites. You do a great job in sales, next thing you know you will have quotas in which your territory can't possibly support. I was pretty successful while there, but after moving on, I can honestly say I think it's a wannabe sales operation with uneducated bumbling buffoons in management positions at all levels.

Agree with the above poster. The worst company that I have ever worked for. Very,Very unprofessional at all levels of management. Very unprofessional. Very blue collar. Sweat shop.

OK....I'll bite and be the first!

Great Place to work if you like working on Superbowl Sunday and having to share a sleeping room at a cheap hotel with another co-worker.

Last year many of us had to attend a local meeting, local, on Superbowl Sunday for absolutely no other reason than because our Senior "Leadership" team wanted to set the "tone" for the comming year. Really. No kidding! Wow, that was motivating! Nice job Crapia!

Gather inormation before you choose to work for this horrible company. Ask them to show you the unedited version of the employee survey that we were forced to take.

Well don't come to Apria for the benefits. For 2013 they have eliminated PPO,EPO and HMO plan choices. Only offering is a High Deductible plan with a $2,000 deductible for single person and $4,000 deductible before anything INCLUDING PRESCRIPTIONS are covered. I can't really blame them though: reimbursement cuts, competitive bidding and increased CMS doucmentation requirements and auditing have made it impossible to make respiratory DME a profitable business. The whole respiratory DME industry is going down the drain quicker than you can say "Competive Bidding!"

Wow. Thanks again Crapia. Maybe this year we can have a meeting on Christmas day too. Why wait until Superbowl Sunday to start spreading the Crapia Cheer!
