Anyone positive about Sucampo?

I understand that EVERY forum on this site has your fair share of negativity, however Sucampo either has issues or the "sat by the lake" guy has a lot of free time and is on a mission to make you look bad.

Can a sane and happy Sucampo Salesperson please provide some positive feedback about your job and the culture? I'd also love to hear specifics on the starting salary, bonus, car allowance, gas card or mileage reimbursement, etc..

Thanks.

Better than a contact company job, but probably not as good as a big pharma company.
Base pay 60-80 depending on exper.
Bonus can go from 0-40k a yr just depends on sales.

They are not willing to pay, they are willing to pass over reps with experience for people new to the industry. Don't see how that makes sense with Ironwood and Synergy on the horizon with competing products with better side effect profiles. If they were serious about "owning" this drug, then this is not the way to do it.

The Ventiv Recruiting Sucampo ads say 5 years of experience..I am interviewing with more than 10...

I went on an interview yesterday and they don't want to pay for your experience. If you making more than 70k don't even bother going. I was not too impressed with the Sucampo managers I meet so I will pursue Ironwwood. The Sucampo people think they have a billion dollar drug on their hands, good luck reaching that goal!

Its fine. They passed on me with a huge amount of experience selling to gastros. I am sure I am going to get the position with Ironwood and I will destroy their business in my territory!!!'This is how stupid they are. Ironwood IS hiring EXPERIENCED people who know what they are doing and paying better. Who do you think will get most of the business? Fools!!!

Ummmm. Good luck with the Ironwood thing. They FDA wants more data.

Forest Laboratories (FRX) is facing another delay where the approval of one of its pipeline candidates is concerned. The company and its partner, Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (IRWD) recently announced that the FDA has extended the review period for their new drug application for linaclotide.

Forest Labs and Ironwood are looking to get linaclotide approved for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C) and chronic constipation (CC). The FDA has extended the review period by three months which means a decision should be out by September 2012. The FDA was previously scheduled to respond in June 2012.

Why the Delay?

The FDA had recently asked Forest Labs and Ironwood to provide an additional analysis of existing data. With the analysis being presented within three months of the FDA action date, the agency extended the review period by three months in accordance with the rules. The companies mentioned that they were not asked to submit new data.

Hi, I am going to interview tomorrow and I am really getting mixed emotions. A friend of mine also interviewed and said that the DM's are not very bright and unable to answer any questions really. Also said I could interview with Sucampo people but maybe Sucampo and Inventiv and the Inventiv people are not so bright.

The more I read about all of this the more it concerns me and makes me wonder if I should go?? They are not paying more than 70, and so if you have too much experience don't waste your time?>???

Does anyone know what the car allowance is? And what the bonuses could be??

I feel like they are not giving us all of the information.
