Anyone expecting a buyout severance?

Better plan on half as much as what the policy states. Last time we saw this movie, good old Flem sold out his employees for a higher price and negotiated away the enhanced severance package we had in place. Then, he rubbed everyone's nose in shit by announcing a two year salary as a retention bonus for his top 30 execs. Remarkably Kobe was not one of them.

Thats leadership in tough times.

If you think flem gives one shit about what happens to the people who work at this company (except a select few) you deserve to be screwed. That select few will get on their knees and thank Fleming by jamming horsehit down the throats of everyone who reports to them. Use this as a warning. If your resume is not up to date, take the time to do it. Interview, do the minimum here. Nothing you will do from here on out will change your fate.

Let’s just wait and see. I do like how once the sale fell through previously, they said it wouldn’t happen again with regards to our severance pkg being disregarded. I doubt that is true.

I have been told that a deal will happen and there will be a blood bath at Shire. Takeda has more money than it knows what to do with. It has been on a buying spree for two years. No one or area is safe.

Unlike Abbvie, Takeda isn’t in a bid to buy Shire for it’s address. So all bets are off ...severance and all. It’s everyone for themselves.
