Anyone else NOT apply for specialty?

This job has opened so many times in my area and no one applies. When it is filled it is with whoever management could sell on the gig who has never worked the territory. Someone finally takes it and falls flat on their face. Forest needs to eliminate "specialty" in some places.

There is nothing more motivating than being passed over for a rep that sends out more emails and has a rack over a rep who produces results and grows the territory to unthinkable margins. Bravo team. Bravo.... And that's why I left.... It's a never ending mouse wheel... Chasing something that doesn't exist.

in the chicago area they usually have to post the job twice before they get someone to apply. sometimes one person applies the first time around and then they have to go through the task of interviewing for a job when they are the only applicant-which I find quite amusing. Imagine being in an interview knowing no one else is going for it and saying, "out of everyone who applied, i'm your man/woman!" Why would someone want to double the size of their territory for a 10% raise?

If you can't answer that question then you are best suited for territory rep for the rest of your career.

Thanks and good luck chasing that same mouse in your new career. Forest will do just fine without you.
