anybody laughing ?

How is surgical management going to spin the resignation of Frank Shields? One of the most respected rep/rbd in the division.

"Spin" is an exaggeration, lying is what the management at B&L does. Whether it's a legitimate manic episode or not, BH's emails are creepy...one gazillion iols sold by some rep I won't ever acknowledge when meeting face to face.
Well you gotta give the guy credit for fully embracing Valeant's accounting practices...count the product when it might-possibly-be-sold, count product when it ships and then count the product one more time when it is actually implanted.

Left surgical division 3 months ago thank goodness! General Manager AC and his band of minions led by BH and Edward K. are a total cluster f--K. I have NEVER experienced that level of cowardice & incompetency in my career. B&L/Valeant's favored "de-centralized" organization has done nothing to "empower" the operating units! It has simply created an environment of complacency, decisions by committee and zero accountability. Frank resigning sends a wave thru the organization but you know how the story goes from here crafted by the "spin-doctor" BH.

just heard our glaucoma product is being pushed back in the review period because Shire's drug was just approved and more relevant/necessary in an unmet disease category. Can this be true?

The FDA doesn't work like that. There is a review period based on the date of submission. They can restart the clock based on questions with the data, but not new competitive entries.

Does Bausch n Lomb still have a surgical business?

Yes, we just don't have sales reps left to sell any of it. Which seems to be working out great for the leadership. Good sales reps and managers ask questions. Ignore them long enough and they assume the leadership doesn't care, doesn't know or both...either way good people leave, difficult questions stop being asked and complacency wins. Then rather than pay for talent we promote worthless idiots that are unemployable any where else. Don't believe me? Our current marketing manager for IOLs and Visco used to work in St Louis as a customer service rep...because that is a typical career trajectory, right?

Everyone knows surgeons did business with Mr. Frank Shield NOT Bausch + Lomb so with Frank's departure million of dollars of business is departing Bausch + Lomb Surgical too. the 2016 number were off before this - can you imagine what the end numbers will be now. OMG !!

I'm laughing about how you are all coming over to Shire and expecting it to be any different than where you left. Plus, you have to work for that idiot Kobe who is micro-managing people into hysteria. Just ask anyone there how happy they are that they made the move.

I left for Shire. VERY happy! Could not have BL as a regional manager.
