Any info on new company car choices?

I'm assuming we will all get used cars from the unfortunate folks who were laid off. If not has anyone heard what the "exciting" new choices will be announced at the national meeting.

You folks really know your priorities, after all the carnage you're worried about what car you're getting? Anyways you'll all be getting Toyota Yaris and that's the 3 door with standard transmission, no AC, power windows or steering. It comes with kryptonite bike lock since they opted out the alarm. Happy selling self centered idiots.

OP here. I did say in my post that I felt bad for those that were let go. However not my fault that I am still here. Also I am a year past my order date, my car is a broken down mess that they are not fixing because of all the changes. Company said cars would be handled after the first of the year. I am sure almost everyone would keep their current company vehicle if it meant that people could keep their jobs but that is not going to happen. I was just curious about the details not asking for a BMW. Good luck finding a new job and Merry X-Mas.

My company car's brakes are completely shot. The mechanic called Wheels and was informed that the company is not making any repairs. The mechanic told them that the car is unsafe to drive, wheels still refused the repairs due to the company's policy. I guess my safety means nothing to the company.

Email the Fleet guy at Genentech, he should get it taken care of for you. Even if you ordered today you won't get your new car for months.

Bullshit. Someone is lying either you or the mechanic.

For those of us who just want to order their replacement cars, does anyone know the models that will be available? I don't care what it is I would just like the info as I don't want to take the allowance.

I think the poster is telling the truth. I had a similar experience, where I was unable to get a knocking noise in the engine taken care of. The mechanic told me that the repair was denied due to the car being scheduled for transport. I am a severed employee so I did not bother with it however, I thought it was kind of crappy that the company would not take care of the repair being that I am still driving this car for over a month. This happend early Dec.

Back to the point of this thread, what are the new models to choose? Ordering at the national meeting, it would be nice to know before hand so people could test drive/make a decision if they want the car or allowance. Before someone bitches I am thrilled I get anything and do consider myself lucky to have a job with this great benefit.
