My apologies if this forum is just for all the sales positions I keep reading about (which sounds like a shark tank by the way, that feasts on reps daily...). Anyone have any thoughts/experience on the Field Service Engineer positions?!?!? I'm considering taking one. I already know my offered pay, benefits, etc...Just a nerd with electronic/technology experience, knowledge and interest. Thanks.

It's a good gig, but a lot of travel, and a lot of work. You usually have large territories. At the end of a quarter you're super busy b/c you're doing all the system installs. Other than that, you're fielding a lot of troubleshooting calls. Try to talk to an FSE, and get the details. You can call any hospital OR and ask for the robotics coordinator. She'll tell you the contact info for the FSE.
