Any experience with Shire procurement?

Had them play 'bad cop' for some projects which worked well. Do not always agree with the savings numbers they claim. Seem a bit fabricated and high sometimes. But I do understand that savings are in their goals.
 












I don't know where you are located and with whom in procurement you work with. I have different experiences. In international they where virtually non existent when I was in Baxalta but procurement helped me with very important projects when Shire. They seem to be going through some personal changes these days and in my opinion are much less coordinated.
Make sure you get the preferred outcome and the roles right.

Agreed. In the past we have done some pretty cool stuff with procurement with suppliers for our brands. A strong team lead recently left the company. It must be difficult to maintain talent these days.
I would actually still call them for support with my suppliers.
 













These folks have supported us well in the past but many of their savings calculations would probably not pass a decent audit. As long as it doesn't impact our budgets I fine with that.
