we learned this morning that “Jaime’s role was eliminated”. This place is nuts. They fired Kristen, Everett replaced her with another useless ass kissing pawn with zero healthcare experience, then hired a chief marketing officer and then eliminated that role in under a year. Marketing is reporting to Jake. Can it get worse? FFS. Anyone know the context of her getting canned?

Serious question. Do you only pay attention to when a women gets let go? When a women gets let go, let's not forgot they were first hired. Both men and women get let go here all the time.

Jamie being let go was not a mystery, nor did it have anything to do with her gender.

She did nothing here but spend money networking and giving herself an image.

No, people don't look only when it's women. It just seems that women have a particularly hard time keeping their high level leadership jobs around here. I could list off at least 15 right now. There is a problem in the environment at that level that makes it inhospitable to female leaders. Perhaps an over index on white men of privilege. Now that our token black leader is gone, I can't wait to see who they hire next. Maybe this "Chief Experience Officer" will be black and a woman. Two birds with one stone! Maybe like EC they'll have a 2 year stock kicker in her contract to make sure they dont churn and burn another one. I mean, it worked for EC...timing was as predicted.

no disagreement on Jaime. They never should have hired her. Medtronic is a joke and her role there was lightyears away from qualifying her for a CMO role at a company like ours. We have these f'in stupid commercials blasted across network and streaming TV, you'd think you'd hire someone who has even the slightest experience in the area. If she's getting sacked for all her international travels and image boosting, why isn't her her little bestie and kiss ass Jeremy not being shown the door? He's been with her every step of the way. I heard a recently he takes his boyfriend on work trips - dinners and travel expenses on the company Amex. What the hell is he still doing here if she's getting ousted for the same thing? It all stinks to me!

Spot on! All those trips she has taken to further her own agenda and image. Never once heard her say anything impressive. Nothing to do with the fact she is a woman.. her role was pointless and brought zero value.

She was given an undeserved opportunity by Everett and wasted it on ridiculous shit, vanity projects and taking credit for others’ work and shallow enough to flaunt her black family for diversity props. In the meantime she ruined marketing, and now they are stuck with Jeremy Truxal, another unqualified bobble head.

Maybe OP was trying to correlate lack of overall female leadership development (symptomatic of the good ol boy culture) to Jaime’s departure but nothing to do with that. Her inexperience just caught up with her.

Totally agree, that Jamie did herself in with her inexperience, and self promotion. But you have to admit, there are not many female leaders who have been successful at Exact Veronica in strategy was also eliminated. If Jermey was a woman, he would have never been promoted to the level he is at his slacking and taking credit for others work would not be tollerated. His ways will catch up with him.

Jaime never bothered to learn anything about the business or products and was mistaken that we would be enthralled with her condescending stories like we are the paupers at her feet who don’t drink wine or travel. Everett must have promised her the money without her understanding actual work would be involved. Her behavior on the COE was embarrassing

Everett had no business making that hire. He was a horrible leader and was one foot out the door.

Was Jamie drunk the whole time? Still not sure why these marketing cronies were at COE in the first place. Since when?? WTF did they do earn the trip? All we get it the same old 200 page CVA and a bunch of arrogant a-holes to deal with when sales asks for literally anything. Directors are making 250K so imagine what the "VP" and "CMO" are raking in to be nothing more than empty suits.

Sales makes nothing in comparison - one of the lowest paid sales forces in the industry. Check LinkedIn and GlassDoor it's appalling

Don't forget these "cheif officer" positions were created for DEI so Kevin could add women to the C suite.

But like most of Kevin's ideas, they get washed away because they weren't thought through and they have to make way for the next hair brained idea he has to artificially pump the stock price.
