Another activist investor. Now what??

Yes this is a big deal! Of course we all have always known GSK has been mismanaged all the way back to JP Garnier! Just an awful company run by awful people! Fish rots from the head!

sold everything I had in GSK. The nepotism and inbreeding at HQ was enough to tell me not to s… where I play.

just pulled all my vested stock thursday.
why would anyone own the stock with a decreased dividend.
52 week high is suppose to be $48. No way in hell. A higher price would only happen if gsk was being taken over.

Hilarious! GSK hasn't seen $48 since 2013. $47 in January '21, now $37. Who cares about the dividend when you lose 25% of your initial investment! The stock, company and leadership are dogs! The only way to make money on this stock is to buy when it hits sub $25 the sell when the acquisition happens. Otherwise GSK is not a company you buy and hold!

LOL true! I sold off all except 100 shares when it hit $48. I hold those 100 purely for entertainment value at the bottom of my portfolio

The reason to buy The stock now is that you will benefit from the upcoming split of “NEWCO” yet to be named consumer health company and “New GSK”. This worked out very well for shareholders of Abbott Labs when they split into Abbott and Abbvie. Additionally, Elliott and now Bluebell activist investors are invested now and they will, no doubt, enforce increased shareholder value as the situation develops.

Emma should go to the consumer health company in some capacity. That’s where she has experience and it’s what she knows.
If she is allowed to stay as CEO of the newGSK, expect more of the same. Her arrogance is driving her desire / need to stay in Pharma. Someone will have to push her out.

Insanity - repeating the same behaviors over and over and expecting a different outcome.

If she goes to the consumer health care company, she won't get the big $ I'm sure she's anticipating that will come from newGSK. It will be a painful stepdown for "one of the most powerful women in the world" to be sent off to sell lip balm and antacid tablets and the like.
