No reprieve for reporting billed charges and collections per CPT code in 2016.

This will probably mean a lawsuit for billing EVERY managed care, hospital, and client bill phy a rate significantly lower than CARE.

I would hope this investigation is brought against the insurers, not the labs.

Why? Labcorp offered services at those rates for obvious reasons. These types of kick back schemes have been going on in one form or another for ages and Labcorp and Quest are always the biggest offenders.
 












The difference between now, and all these years is that the gov now has a law that mandates the lab to disclose what they bill and what they receive from commercial payers to Medicare for the purpose of resetting the CLFS
