An observation on Sun

Look at the backgrounds of those hired the past two years. Perhaps the reason we’re sucking wind is that we’ve been forced into hiring people that have crazy backgrounds.
I don’t want to call out specific former positions, but it’s just crazy - analogous to hiring former bank tellers, gym trainers, painting company owners ...
How does this happen ?

simple. That’s all we can get.

Such simple minds posting on this site. Sun hires qualified individuals that are committed to its mission. Yes, there will always be some who say negative things because they’ve moved on or unhappy. Unhappy individuals only want to see other employees be unhappy too. If you’ve left, then it’s likely because you were a bad employee anyway. Talent will continue to join and the talentless will continue to leave.

Ridiculously flawed logic.
A good manager would and should terminate a bad employee.
In Sun/Taro's case, a good employee leaves because he/she recognizes bad management and can easily find another job with a company that has better management.

Thank you HR.
C’mon, you can’t be serious - although it’s slowed bc you’ve hit the bottom of the barrel, turnover the past two years has been off the charts.
It’s a real struggle to ID any talent, let alone one from a decent company who hasn’t be unemployed long-term.
Keep smokin’ the Mumbai pipe.

Turnover is due to poor performance by those employees. They are lucky they found gainful employment. Talent will continue to come and the talentless will continue to leave.

You can’t have 2-year 60% turnover and call that poor performance. Btw, 95% were voluntary resignations.
That kind of exodus is due to discovery once you get in, weak ‘management’, toxic culture, and yes, some bad hiring decisions.

When the hiring manager was heading up a lawn care business 2 years prior, and they’re hiring someone who’s coming from big-box retail, these things are to be expected.

Very unfortunate. But true.

No shade to the people who Sun had to hire, but yeah this is so true.
It’s confirmation that leadership at Sun is an oxymoron.
Sun’s best play is with cranking out billions of generic pills. But even at that, there have been major issues.
