If I were still working as a Lilly rep, I would think up something like...."oh doctor, companies, as well as individuals are sue happy these days....it's probably just some corporate lawyers trying to make a buck."

But if you have been with Lilly very long at all, you have had to answer all kinds of questions from doctors about Lilly. You have done it so many times before that you must be quite an expert. So don't worry, either you or your manager will figure out how to smooth this one over with some kind of canned verbage.

The FIPNET geniusi didn't think of this... where there are business partners, there are legal battles. They just thought that everyone was in it for the good of Lilly. These arrogant clowns thought they figured out how to do drug development without the risk. Thanks to their incredible genius, Lilly was going to get something from nothing. Sounds just like the a**holes on Wall Street who thought that they figured out risk free home lending.
 




How can this be? We didn't even create a super secret lab inside Lilly to steal their product (like last time) Then promote those involved for their forward thinking. Besides we cant have a seperate sales force...unless they are all contractors working for 5 rupels a day

You are suppose to tell the doctors not to bother being more aggressive with Type 2 diabetes. A twice a day shot that provides sustained improvement in glucose control with the added benefit of weight loss is simply too much trouble.
"Doc, take the path of least resistance, give patients this placebo, I mean oral medication, Tradjenta. Yeah, you won't get weight loss, patients with T2DM are mostly noncompliant fat asses anyway, so who cares? Why waste your time trying to explain the benefits of Byetta? Just give em the oral and get on to your next patient.
