Those new to the MS franchise and new to Genentech left very good companies being told personal stories from Genentech employees that if you work hard, Genentech will always take care of you. We all went through a rigorous proces to be here and now Genentech has the best Neuroscience team in the industry. With the future in mind of expanding into neuroscience, please don’t cast the decision to get rid of people. The current process is damaging the culture and integrity of this franchise. It’s unfair to have this looming over people’s heads while they try to work hard knowing they may not have a job.
 






Don’t worry if you performed well. Those ranked at the bottom are getting transformed first. Great way to cut those not performing without having to put them on a plan. Many need to go. Dead weight.

The real GNE looked at the rep as a whole, not just the arbitrary rankings. We've all seen excellent reps who were dealt a bad territory and also the opposite - lazy suck ups who fell into a prime geography. This is where good leadership is needed but sorely lacking.

Totally agree. I guess no one noticed the lion’s share of great territories went to existing GNE Legacy reps and these Legacy reps were friends with the hiring manager? But rankings won’t have anything to do with this.

I’m nervous. How will they determine which of us will will stay and who will go? I was near the bottle because I got a crap territory from day 1.

I feel like I’m on the chopping block cuz I’m not old buddies with my DM and I’m new here. Can’t get in to the “inner circle”.

Why are you worried? The transformation is an expansion. Big territories get smaller, smaller territories will get minuscule. Good to go for another year+ until SLT figures out that didn’t work.

Are there parts of your territory that can be taken over by Legacy GNE reps? That’s your answer.

What happened to this place?

What happened to this place? They created a toxic culture here that praises self-promotion and is filled with the epitome of the word brown-nosers. Like many have said before...you can’t trust anyone here. Not your boss and certainly not your coworkers. They will be the first to backstab you to be valued here. This is a place where you can’t just do your job well and take pride in that. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever been a part of. I didn’t know the movie “The Circle” reference at all. So I decided to watch it yesterday. They were right. It’s just like that here. They know your every move here and your life becomes theirs. I cannot even escape text messages after hours as my coworkers continuously toot their own horns in an attempt to kiss up to the manager. It’s really quite sickening.
Now with threatens of job losses, this type of sick activity has stepped up a notch. I didn’t know what happened to the rep out west so I did a little digging. Yep, they were right. Two girls wanted her out. Just like they ousted the rep before her. This time, they attempted to complain anonymously although they didn’t get away with it. Nothing is anonymous here. Carefully read this message. N.O.T.H.I.N.G is anonymous here. You write something about your boss, they know who you are. You write something about a meeting, they know who you are and it will be used against you.
For a culture that supposedly thanked us for coming aboard and reinforced how important we are to them, certainly isn’t created a culture with a possible layoff over our shoulders for several weeks now. How do they expect anyone to be passionate and do their job with this looking over everyone. It’s just a nightmare.

One KOL decreases volume or uses 2 extra competitors and managers are seeing you decline share , etc. Much ass kissing, different pressures i can assure you, under the electron scope every day.
