Amgen looking at Cork, Ireland (again)

I have it on good authority that Amgen personnel were in looking at a site in Cork Ireland in the last week that was previously owned by Pfizer.......any confirmation?

Amgen owns property there and has for several years. I would not think they would be looking "at a site", unless they are going just to look at their property, again. Eventually, they will probably build on that property.
 






When Amgen purchased the property in Cork, there was a massive build up in staff for the site, unfortunately when the building cost came back at +15 Billion dollars, Kevin $hit himself! Then the reality of a product used to protect patients from cancer actually promoted cancer growth and that's when they pulled the plug on Cork, stopped building at TO site and immediately got out of the leases on buildings in TO and initiated the massive layoff. They struggled with how to keep predators at bay and initiated a poison pill along with massive debt to make them financially unviable for acquisition, investors should have stormed the campus and demanded Kevins removal! Of course he sits in his bullet proof office and sneers down at his employees while he wines and dines himself and senior staff.
 












You don't get it, do you? T&E budget is to be spent before year end so folks are thinking of creative ways to do so.
Amgen is so hated in that area for what they did to local folks, and this was before the crisis.
 


















This is Amgen creating goodwill, They were not the only bio/pharm company to pull out of Ireland the past 3 years. The European economy is a mess and Amgen probably figures it is worth a look many good deals with many desperate counties including Cork.
 




































The plant in Ringaskiddy is just a tiny pilot plant for protein manufacturing. That's the last thing they need, additional protein mfg capacity. They screwed over dozens of irish employees as well as the ex=pats that went over to design and build the plant. It's a shame.
