Seems accurate to me. A you were bought, you are no longer in charge. you have constantly told us how you make more money, are superior, more intelligent, better looking, younger, whatever. Now is your chance to leverage those attributes elsewhere. We really don’t care.
 












Celgene had an incredible, performance based sales culture -not a home office culture. Amgen ridiculed them for it and killed off everyone who was part of the old leadership. They started with April and then killed off the two RBM dudes. With those three gone, they could do whatever they wanted. It's now an Amgen fake fest. Recycle lies and fakery each year. Glad I got out last year, but I still talk to a couple survivors. Sad place to what it once was. The NUBU infiltrators they brought in actually think they are excellent. Hilarious.

All of that is true. And most of us will. No reason to leave yet we can milk out most of 2025 while we look. "Sucks to suck" describes Amgen to its core.

Amgen has a philosophy of buying assets, since their discover is ineffective, and applying their model of big Pharma KPI beatings to them.

They always act surprised when sales slow dramatically, but their finance guys are pretty sharp, so they extract profits well.

Don't act like it's new.

They may have some shiny posters about serving patients, but they first serve shareholders.

At the end of the day, you just need to make sure you hit your execution report numbers. That's what it's all about. Performance is meaningless.

Just like Amgen wanted Otezla and not their overpaid, over equity awarded sales Cowboys. Once they got them, they quickly realized the sales performance model was dangerous to the Amgen activity hive and they set about to target and eliminate them. Mission accomplished.

That is what happens when you get acquired. Nothing new here. Other large companies do the same thing.
