That’s what happened in Derm. They don’t care. It’s why so many of the Derm Dynasty reps have been saying goodbye to Amgen. They are slowly eroding the Horizon culture by picking off leadership and SAMs one by one and replacing it with the Amgen robots.
When you buy a car, you don’t keep the salesman. We got what we wanted. See ya.They are slowly eroding the Horizon culture by picking off leadership and SAMs one by one and replacing it with the Amgen robots.
Exactly. It’s as if they don’t understand who was bought or who did the buying. When you buy a car, you don’t keep the salesman. We got what we wanted. See ya.
As far as analogies go, that has to be the dumbest I’ve ever heard. How can Amgen employees so stupid?Exactly. It’s as if they don’t understand who was bought or who did the buying.
But they are. All the ones I’ve encountered are dumb as rocksAs far as analogies go, that has to be the dumbest I’ve ever heard. How can Amgen employees so stupid?
Seems accurate to me. A you were bought, you are no longer in charge. you have constantly told us how you make more money, are superior, more intelligent, better looking, younger, whatever. Now is your chance to leverage those attributes elsewhere. We really don’t care.As far as analogies go, that has to be the dumbest I’ve ever heard. How can Amgen employees so stupid?
But we’re dumb rocks who still work for an existing company. But they are. All the ones I’ve encountered are dumb as rocks
All of that is true. And most of us will. No reason to leave yet we can milk out most of 2025 while we look. "Sucks to suck" describes Amgen to its core.Seems accurate to me. A you were bought, you are no longer in charge. you have constantly told us how you make more money, are superior, more intelligent, better looking, younger, whatever. Now is your chance to leverage those attributes elsewhere. We really don’t care.
Cuz I’m not about to leave a HUGE bonus on the table.Seems accurate to me. A you were bought, you are no longer in charge. you have constantly told us how you make more money, are superior, more intelligent, better looking, younger, whatever. Now is your chance to leverage those attributes elsewhere. We really don’t care.
Sorry, did you think Amgen bought Horizon (or other acquisitions) for the people? No, they wanted the products, the patents, and they got them.As far as analogies go, that has to be the dumbest I’ve ever heard. How can Amgen employees so stupid?
Exactly! Amgen wanted Horizon's drugs and innovation, not their overly paid people, silly gooses.Amgen has a philosophy of buying assets, since their discover is ineffective, and applying their model of big Pharma KPI beatings to them.
They always act surprised when sales slow dramatically, but their finance guys are pretty sharp, so they extract profits well.
Don't act like it's new.
They may have some shiny posters about serving patients, but they first serve shareholders.
At the end of the day, you just need to make sure you hit your execution report numbers. That's what it's all about. Performance is meaningless.
Just like Amgen wanted Otezla and not their overpaid, over equity awarded sales Cowboys. Once they got them, they quickly realized the sales performance model was dangerous to the Amgen activity hive and they set about to target and eliminate them. Mission accomplished.Exactly! Amgen wanted Horizon's drugs and innovation, not their overly paid people, silly gooses.
That is what happens when you get acquired. Nothing new here. Other large companies do the same thing.Just like Amgen wanted Otezla and not their overpaid, over equity awarded sales Cowboys. Other companies strive for product sales increases. Amgen strives for sales calls increases while sales decrease. That is what happens when you get acquired. Nothing new here. Other large companies do the same thing.
