Amgen contract- field access specialist

A Chevy Malibu, which isn't too bad for this temporary gig. The salary is decent too. Biggest issue: no coverage for drug. This isn't our problem. All you have to do is train the office on how to complete a PA to get it covered, and soon specialty pharmacy case managers and reps will take this over. Good gig, but won't last long.

I would not bank on this position. With Tilton gone, and them bringing in a few new people, there is talk of change on the horizon. Using site coordinators and specialty pharmacy case managers and axing us in the next year.Rumor has it they are beginning to look at more clinical people for our role for new hires. Supposedly, they will have a greater impact , more likely to understand and pull necessary info from the chart, and more in it for the patients, and ultimately lead to more approvals. I think it is BS and you can't get approvals when coverage sucks.

Clinical people will do nothing with coverage exclusions or requirements to fail on the competitors product.
