They will be gone soon. We are trying to sell ourselves. They rushed everyone down to Nashville the very next day to sign the non compete. They want the business, not the reps. This is a consolidation
 






They brought forty plus Ameritox people to Nashville, put them up at the Opryland hotel, and gave them a lab tour this evening. They are all sales reps and marketing people. They will keep a few of them in markets that Aegis is not well represented in, but most will be gone soon because they will never be able to meet the ridiculous sales goals Aegis now requires. Turnover in sales at Aegis is very high and it will now become even higher. If you have a choice don't bother with Aegis. The Private equity firm Abry is building Aegis up as much as possible and cutting costs everywhere they can. They want to sell in about two years. I don't think Aegis will go under and may even grow with buyouts, but its not a very nice place to work anymore.
 






Word is they have basically around 8 weeks to convert existing accounts, then it's anyone's guess. Definitely just want the accounts. More like the company is going to market in next 9-12 months. Should be great when the existing reps learn the new reps comp plan. Fun times!

I'm dying to know what the Ameritox reps plan is with Aegis. I'm guessing it's 9% on everything.
 






I did not get picked up by Aegis but our old comp plan was $65,000 3 percent of existing business, 8 percent for 1 year on new, then 5 percent for year2b which we considered very low for the industry. I am transitioning my business to a lab paying me per sample. I am now getting $50.00 per sample Medicaid included. I am getting paid rather than the private equity. Get smart! Do not allow them to use you any longer. It is your business!

$50 bullshit! Most of these samples barely make $50 profit.
 












infinity out of FL is a joke. They won’t pay you are your clients will be pissed when they find out what you are making as a result of billing crazy high out of network rates. Trust that!!! I’ve never lost to a 1099 rep once you out them. Be smarter than that. Aegis isn’t the answer as they want the business, will make you sign a non compete then fire you. Take off the rose colored glasses!
 












I'm going with a Toxicology lab out in Georgia and they offered me %25 on all my business forever. I work hard to please my clients day in and day out. I refuse to let Aegis offer me such a poor comp plan.

The real issue is that it is getting harder and harder (and will continue to become increasingly difficult) for the “boutique” toxicology labs to get paid by insurance companies for specimens. Particularly if that lab is “out of network” with the insurance plans. Labs can promise you terrific percentages of collectables, but what happens when they can no longer collect on them?

I am the Sales Director for a Michigan based full clinical laboratory that also does toxicology. We have been in business for nearly 30 years and have “in network” agreements with almost every insurance plan. I am looking for quality reps in the Michigan area who have experience selling in the toxicology market. not sure where else to ask this but my clients (former Ameritox) aren’t happy about the custom profiles going away... how can i get around this? If i can’t convert will i lose my job? I signed the non compete already so I’m nervous. Also, what are you doing for POCT patients? I can’t go to my manager and i need help! I’ve got to keep my accounts!

I actually feel this is a fake post, but If sincere I dont want you to suffer. Call client services ask for help on how to fillout an alacart paper req and how to setup a custom profile in Fluid. CS can also resolve your POCT question with a simple setting in Horizon! If all else fails look in the roster and call an Aegis rep. we can help and 90 % of us understand the pressure you experiencing.

Why would someone do a fake post? What would that accomplish? Can anyone help that is actually in sales and understands what we do?
