American Express bill

I only used Amex card for work related stuff and I expense each week yet I have a substantial outstanding bill with them. RH continually ignores my emails. Now Amex is harassing me for the balance. Anyone else have this problem?

Unfortunately pretty regular does not count. Those bills showed late charges and fees. The concor system did not show late fees. Only charges that were made with vendors.

In your defense, it seems like Astellas would have been notified of excessive late fees and
contacted by Amex. Then the expense people could have reached out to you.

But again, the bottom line lies with the employee to open that monthly bill and see what charges are being applied to their account.

Rosendo? Is that you? Great company line. "Never mind what we told you."

This happened to me at another company. Unless you can verify the charges are inaccurate, you'd better pay AMEX the late fee owed as soon as possible. Chalk it up to experience, and from now on each month check the AMEX statement to reconcile your bill with your charges. This diligence is needed and AMEX knows most reps won't go through the trouble of doing it. They keep charging extra late payment fees on top of old late payment fees. It adds up to hundreds in no time.

Yes--please do take care of it for your own good. When I left the company they did not pay my last expense report timely. Amex reported 3 lates to my credit report. Ive been disputing this for years and waiting for it to fall off my credit report.

Lesson Learned the Hard Way

The corporate cards do not report to your personal credit. The company uses that as a threat for those employees who charge personal, expenses and then leave the company. If you are waiting years for your credit to clear you are wasting your time cuz two years history of on time pymts is what really matters. You must have other credit issues.

No, you are incorrect. It does report to your personal credit. Secondly, I do not want blemishes on my credit period.

Maybe you should check your report and see if it's being reported.

Concur does not show your late fees. AMEX keeps billing late fees for late fees which create a snowball effect nightmare.

Pay up quickly or AMEX will just keeping adding more fees - Astellas won't help you with this. And yes it does hit your personal credit if you don't pay up.
