The major pharmacy chains stocks dropped too. $12.8 BILLION worth.

Vag, Pillpak is a lot more expensive and still follow formularies, so I don't understand your comment.

They will change plus try free delivery with Amazon Prime for people who have to spend money and time driving to the pharmacy.

It's still mail order....

DD, I personally know people who love getting their meds by mail order. Most retirement Rx plans give a 3 month supply so they get 4 shipments a year and never have to leave the house. Personally, I prefer picking up my 3 month supply at the CVS which is 5 minutes away. There's a great alehouse/wine bar 2 doors away and that's always my next stop. Different strokes for different folks, ya know?

Not sure what you mean Vag?

IMHO, the Amazon development enhances our healthcare delivery system by offering another option for meds delivery. My 'Trump comment' was made to refer to his election platform hyperbole of the 'great new H/C system' he would install 'almost immediately' in 2017. He meant well I'm sure but he hadn't done his homework and spoke out his ass. I heartily approve of his Executive Order destroying the state-line rule for buying insurance - it didn't work.

And yes, I know Obama's fluff about ACA was hyperbole too. I guess that's just a characteristic of politicians - which is all Donald Trump is now.

You can thank the POS McCain for that Vag. He wouldn’t let the failure Obamacare die, which had to happen first. Speaking of McCain, is it me, or is Megan about 250 lbs now?

Respectfully disagree. Trump promised almost simultaneous 'repeal and replace' with a plan that would keep some of the 'good features' of ACA - like no pre-existing conditions, etc. He did absolutely nothing to try an make sure a replacement bill was in place. He dropped the ball. And what about the bill introduced in the House on March 20, 2017 by Representative Diane Black (H.R. 1628) the American Health Care Act (AHCA). As we both know, Senator McCain is not in the House of Representatives. Bills don't have to start in the Senate. Don't het me wrong, ever since McCain changed his mind about abortion when he tried to fit in the GOP mold, I've lost respect for him.

And Megan? You're right, I would no longer do her.

The choice of Dr Atul Gawande as CEO for this new venture is excellent. It's important that an educated (Stanford & Harvard) MD be in charge and Dr Gawande's new book, 'Being Mortal' accurately describes the sever lack within our system of coordination of care, particularly for the elderly and infirm.
