Allergan / Merck Biogen Takeover

<

Slippery Scangos strikes again. First the video that said don't buy into the rumors about layoffs... Gemstone much? Then last week he says don't buy into the rumors of a buy out. What a joke this place has become.

Makes sense... Hemo was spun off, Bio 2 is being shuttered (less headcount and costly manufacturing space) and scango's is "retiring" to the bay area...Perfect timing for a buyout.

What are Allergan and Merck's vehicle offerings? Was hoping for a coupe or luxe SUV

Merck car is a Maliboo hoo, no joke. You can also get a 2wd Rogue suv if you pay extra monthly. Rep salaries are capped and frozen, bonus target stinks. You are tracked via ipad like no ones business. If this deal goes through and if you are retained expect a 25% salary/bonus cut. Hey, managers and directors get stripped down Altimas, yeah it is that bad folks! That Scagnos fool sold you down the river big time.

Signed,
Merck rep

Ex-Salix rep here. Salix got acquired by Valeant last year and it was a disaster! Cheap-a$$ Valeant drove everyone off - most not by layoff (only around 10% and they were the lucky ones who received very generous severance packages thanks to a Salix contract that provided that). The majority of the sales force left within 3-6 months of the take over. Everyone in the sales force wanted to be let go - they wanted the package. What was left was a demoralized sales force with most answering to bad managers who did not leave, or new managers, some of whom lacked experience in the space. And our Camry's were traded in for Shitty Chevys - 4-cylinder Malibu or Equinox. Communication allowances cut and provided with company cell phones which we only used for mobile Hot Spots for our iPads when in the field. After a tenured rep would leave they were replaced with the inexperienced or desperate. Only reps hanging on at Salix now are those few with good managers, or those who haven't found an exit strategy (most with few options due to lack of experience). Though the situation at Biogen is uncertain with acquisition looming, I doubt if Allergan or Merck would be quite as bad as Valeant. Still, it sucks for you guys. Good luck!
