Very sad to learn that Allen Evans has passed away.

He was a nice guy and one of us who lived through the golden age of Pharma.

Like those times, Allan will be missed.

Absolutely stunned to hear the news of his passing. He was always one of the good guys.

Rest in pease big man. You were truely one of the good ones. Why does it always seem to be the good ones that go way before their time. Tragic.

How did it happen? Who was Allen? Where did he work?

Allen was an Oncology ASM in Minn. A few weeks back he injured his knee jumping off the stage at a meeting requiring surgery. He threw a clot over the weekend and passed away, just like that.

Shocked and saddened by this news. I had the honor of spending time with him during meetings and was close to him during the infamous photo. The problem was the stage was high and had no stairs, even though it will be of no consolation to his family I hope they sue and win big. So long Allen, rest in peace.

These condolences come quite late as I just today learned of Allen's passing. So many current Novartis reps still have my number, yet, no one was thoughtful enough to call me in June to let me know so that I could pay my respects. (Apparently people assume we all waste our time on here)

Allen was a wonderful man and manager. I wished I'd had the opportunity to work for him.
