Alibi Ike has lost MoDo

Some of my favorite of this liberal writer's musings in this column:

...The leader who was once a luminescent, inspirational force is now just a guy in a really bad spot.

No. 2 on David Letterman’s Top Ten List of the president’s plans for Labor Day: “Pretty much whatever the Republicans tell him he can do.”

Obama can’t turn into F.D.R. for the campaign because he aspires to the class that F.D.R. was a traitor to; and he can’t turn into Harry Truman because he lacks the common touch. He has an acquired elitism.

The days of spinning illusions in a Greek temple in a football stadium are done. The One is dancing on the edge of one term.

The White House team is flailing — reacting, regrouping, retrenching. It’s repugnant.

The global disappointment in this community organizer by the Obamadrones must be immeasurable.

This has already been covered in another thread - Pay attention.

BTW, it is a riot how you cons are suddenly 'fans' of Maureen Dowd.

Priceless.
So...Now your the self-appointed thread police?

Speaking of fans, who besides you 26%ers are fans of the empty suit that now occupies the White House. You 26%ers are awesome in your dedication to this one-term losing cause.

This from a poster who levels charges against others and has no proof to the slander and lies that he continues to peddle here.

Now, run along and stop wasting anymore band space.

She makes the point, doesn't she?

People must remember, before the next election, that famous quote that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Obama never exhibited the hard work, dedication, and persistence needed to be successful. Voting present doesn't cut it. I hope we don't make the same mistake again, voting in someone because of grand speeches and nothing else. Look at track records, associations, patterns in their history, and successes. Be suspicious of relationships severed for political purposes because those of long standing reflect who the person really is.

I especially enjoyed her commentary on his "frustrated" email. Is this the kind of message you want from the leader of the United States of America? Is this really the best we can do for our country? Yet his advisers are apparently still saying it isn't the substance that matters, but how he says it?!? While we need more than a cheerleader in DC, we sure as hell don't need a defeatist loser who never believed in the America we know and love.
