Gee I had so hoped to be gone from this dreaded company prior to the meeting, but alas this will not happen. Not to sound to sarcastic, but does anyone have a clue what we will be doing for a whole week? I mean, in all honesty what a complete waste of money for hotel, flights, food etc. My manager confided in me that they were currently working with a recruiter, but said it will probably take a long time to find a decent manager's job. I actually appreciated the honesty and respect them more now. It will feel strange being in general session at the meeting realizing the person to my direct left and direct right hate it here as much as I do and are looking for new jobs.

It will be a great opportunity to network. You're right (or left) doesn't matter where you sit you will be surrounded by people looking to get out.
