Age of new hires question.

years ago, i had an interview with forest, might have been 04, anyway, I wish I would have taped the conversation, because the manager at the time came right out and told me that I was too old for his division, and at the time I was a whopping 32 years old

my friend was hired after the age of 40 so you never know

alot depends on what the company wants in that particular territory

if you are 29 and over and Forest is your option or decision as a place to work, you might want to try a change in the line of work. Forest is a great job if you are between the ages of 22-26, if you are over that and still working for a Forest Salary, you need to check your options.

Once you reach 35+, and make a base salary 2x a new rep, they will likely start the probation & letter of concern process on you

Unless you have great oratory skills, then they promote you, hmmmm, who does that sound like?

Reality is pharma detailing job is now that 2nd step job. You graduated college, worked in 1st sales job = discovered how hard that really is" , get hired into pharma, stick around 4-5 years move on...the company may want to keep 1 out of 15 new hires for future promotion. Way to much money paying for older reps to ride around saying hello to a few docs everyday.

If you're over the age of 29 and Forest is even an option for you to work, you may want to reconsider your career. They hire young for a reason, its a minor league company thats not real sales. They treat you like children here because thats who they want to hire, then people stay for years and wonder why they are micromanaged?
