Advice: Octapharma Plasma - HR

WOW!!! Like a previous poster, I am considering interviewing for a position. I am somewhat overwhelmed by all of the posts that I just read. It looks like most of the posts are regarding the sales force with Octapharma. I am considering a HR position with Octapharma Plasma. From what I understand, they have been operating in Clarkston, GA and are relocating to Charlotte, NC. As a result of internet research, I believe that they were previously owned by Life Therapeutics, but I could not find that company name listed in the forum directory. My major responsibility would be staffing for positions within the donor collection sites. I don't believe that it requires recruiting any sales professionals. Did/Do you guys really hate working at Octapharma that much? Would it be better if you were not in a sales role?

Thanks.

The corporate monkeys - though generally clueless, are often very much aware of violations to FDA and other federal regulations (i.e the law) at the collection centers but look the other way (negligence) or even give direction to center management on how to cover things up. They did not get to their positions by being straight shooters and obviosly cannot be bothered to do the right thing when situations arise - after all, they have their positions to worry about. Some of us are already in communication with the applicable government agencies. I encourage others to do the same.

I am applying for a position on the plasma side. There are alot of jobs,. Is it due to turnover or expansion? I know I have seen some of the postions before. What is the culture like?

Here is some simple advice if you want to do well on the plasma side:

1-you've never heard of IBR.

2- if you talk to someone that originated at IBR, pretend that their knowledge is completely useless

3- CSL / ZLB was the apex of expertise in the biopharma sourcing business

4- do not question the old lady in regulatory

5 - commuting from spokane is perfectly fine

and

6 - don't call corporate on fridays. No decision makers are there.

You should be good to go now. Best of luck.

The lady (JS) brought people over from ZLB who would support her like Carol, what a joke. J. Smith thinks CMs are replaceable, but higher above are clean as whistles. The folks from OPI need only to speak with someone in the industry and then talk with Judy and they will shit thier pants. The lady couldn't explain the plasma process she needs to apologize to Northwestern for accepting her degree. She gossips like an TV watching person and will ruin folks careers on a whim.
