Advice for upcoming college grad

Hello everyone,

I'm graduating in May with a chemical engineering degree and am excited to begin my career in the biopharm industry (as the idea of being at least somewhat involved in the life saving process holds a certain romance), however everyone up here seems rather pessimistic about the industry. Should I take my degree elsewhere, or is the industry not as bad as the impression I'm getting from the site? What are the best companies to look at in the RTP area?

Any other advice you've got? I've met with many biopharm professionals but as a student there's always a facade held by both of us.

I agree that the pharmaceutical industry is not the place to be at this time.
My suggestion is to seek a sales role at Honeywell. They have engineering sales positions that are very good.
